Theory And Composition

In order to clearly communicate with others, one needs a common language. In the case of music, a portion of that language is called music theory. By knowing this dialect called "theory", one gains the ability to convey, comprehend, and produce ideas that they otherwise may not have ever even dreamed of.

Theory lessons with Pablo at LittleCactusVibrations cover each element of music by exploring the vast library, regular exercises, and through composition. These elements of music range from the concrete aspects of rhythm, harmony, articulation, etc., to nuances of phrasing, style, and more.

Drawing from standard literature taught across the majority of US collegiate music programs, and sculpted to the practical needs of the student, lessons develop free-thought balanced with the real world practical application. From my own experience as a performer, composer, teacher, and interpreter, I can say that classes in theory are of high value to the beginner and expert alike.
